Yesterday, Kyle MacDonald and Aimee Davison spent all day filming their collection of unwanted Yellow Pages. The media will be available to all outlets upon request: aimee.davison@gmail.com
HERE is Kyle's Flickr photostream and a few outtakes from the first 2 hours of collecting phone books:
SOME FACTS:
Over 10 million Yellow Page directories will be printed and distributed in 2010, which is enough to fill over 20 Olympic sized swimming pools. If we build a mountain with 1000 books, that is only 0.01% of the total books distributed.
STAY TUNED FOR EXACT DETAILS ON THE MOUNTAIN ISSUED LATER TODAY!
If you have pick-ups or tips for lots of books call Kyle (514) 833-3980
Aimee.

Hi Aimee, saw your initiative. Thanks for taking this step to bring the books back to us, we’ll be able to properly recycle them. I’m the Director of Communications for Yellow Pages Group and eco initiatives are a big part of my portfolio here at the company. Would love to sit down with you guys when you’re here tomorrow to talk about what we do and maybe how we can raise awareness of our print delivery opt-out service. Always interested in user feedback and would love to hear some of your ideas.
